A lovely giant saguaro cactus - icon of the southwest - stands out against the backdrop of the lush greenery that grows by the Vekol wash - especially after it floods which you can see here in the distance winding its way through the desert hills. This area is in northwest Pinal County about 50 miles south of Phoenix, Arizona.
