Description
When the Sonoran Desert of Arizona has had a lot of winter rain, a variety of tiny daisies appear in the spring. The Woolly Daisy (Eriophyllum lanosum) comes in white and yellow. Their stems are soft, fuzzy, and crinkle up like wool, and so that’s probably where they got the name, Anyway, the white gets good contrast up against the beiges and browns of the Sonoran Desert sands and rocks. This is a digital manipulation of a photograph of three of them. I just thought it looked like a lion’s face - that’s all. Step back and look at it. What do you see?
