Description
A vibrant Red Admiral butterfly with distinctive orange trim on its wings rests on the desert ground. Its wings are fully spread, showcasing its intricate patterns and colors. This butterfly (Vanessa atalanta) from the Nymphalidae brush-footed family is common in temperate climates all over the world. But in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona, it is mainly migratory and rarely seen. It looks like an eye on the ground or wherever it is which is very cool I think!
